Here is an example of Italian gastronomic culture for you, an act of love for all lovers of Osteria food.

The simple food that has paved the way for our culture throughout the world. There is no pale interpretation, but only a great passion for these flavors that connect memories, experience, love.

Fresh ingredients not always present in the pantries but that made and make us appreciate the genuineness of our roots.

 

The cupboards overflowed with dishes, sauces, gravies and desserts ready to savor and take away perhaps on a trip to the seaside or for a family lunch in a large country house. Here they are in a brief summary that recalls My Family similar to many others each with a story, each with an Aunty (L) or an Uncle (A). 

 

All beautiful, mine and yours enclosed in a few words or anecdotes never to be forgotten.

In reality I think that our true Italian virtue spread far and wide throughout the world and thinking of all the things that mean: a happy life, well lived, well conducted, a beautiful landscape, a villa, a painting, a dress, a wine, the shore of a lake, a lunch, engines, bags, sports cars, marble, furniture all these things and many others are more desirable when they have the word Italian next to them. 

 

And yes even when we receive the patronizing lecture from the rest of the world, when we are criticized for the excessive state of confusion in which everything moves even in this we are, unique. 

 

Deep down I believe, a small part of you would like to be Italian.

BARISTA
VERMUTERIA italiana

Once and for all, the Italian barista does work also with coffee and the year zero of this story can be defined as 1786, the year in which vermouth was invented by the Italian distiller Antonio Carpano. Since then, the fashion of vermouth as an aperitif spread in European cafés, encouraging the birth of the first mixed drinks.  Thus it was that a few years later, in 1806, and more precisely in the weekly Balance & Columbian Repository, the word “cocktail” appears for the first time, defined as “a stimulating drink composed of various types of liqueurs, sugar,  water and bitters”. These “liqueurs” were generally distillates obtained from wine, grapes or fruit, such as Brandy, Grappa, Acquavite and Cognac, and clearly Vermouth, which was by then becoming popular as an aperitif throughout Europe. The great fortune of cocktails, as they were understood at the time, however, waned following a wave of phylloxera, which dealt a terrible blow to wine production and like others let's say diseases that infested the Bars and some brothel.  Let's remember here in our BAR the seven deadly sins with the seven drinks that made ours  Italian BARISTAS famous in the world with Gavisha....she will let you taste them one by one..!!..
